Assisi - Galleria le Logge, Pinacoteca Comunale

Effetto Biennale, organized by the Florence Biennale team, continues with the third edition in the place of origin, the Umbrian city of Assisi from September 22-30, 2012, in the the Pinacoteca Comunale within the historic Palazzo Vallemani.

The exhibition venues chosen:

In Assisi, the Piazza del Carmine, the hub of social and cultural life of the city, the Palazzo dei Priori, now city hall, rich in frescoes from the school of Giotto and the Municipal Pinacoteca, in the splendid eighteenth-century Palazzo Vallemani. The juxtaposition of the Franciscan mystic, the Roman Temple of Minerva, the medieval military fortresses and contemporary art, offered the artists and visitors a rich and unique simultaneous experience of past and present.

The Edition:

The first Effetto Biennale Edition, took place from July 3 – 11, 2010 in Assisi, in the distinguished Palazzo Vallemani, that hosted more than 40 artists selected from those who have participated in one of the past Florence Biennale's. The exhibition, which was inaugurated with the presence of city officials, artists and local and international public, was received with great success and the attention of national and international media.
